Ida Freeman believes in providing ALL students with a well rounded quality education, this includes integrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education into our daily instruction. Our teachers use the Learning Lab as an extension of their classroom. The Learning Lab provides a large area to create, finish and store activities that foster creativity and deepen student learning while integrating Science, Math, Engineering and Technology into curriculum. The Learning Lab was created as a part of the 2015 School Bond that also built the new Storm Shelter/Media Center.
Beginning in the Spring of 2019, the Learning Lab will also house the computer science program. Nathan Cates, our computer science teacher, will be teaching students how computer science skills can be applied in real life applications.
