Girls Who Code (GWC) is on a mission to close the gender gap in technology and to change the image of what a programmer looks like and does. Girls Who Code offers opportunities for our students to deepen their computer science skills as well as their confidence. Girls Who Code’s programs create clear pathways from GWC alumni into the computing workforce. GWC builds a supportive sisterhood of peers and role models who help our students persist and succeed.

Ida Freeman’s Girls Who Code program was founded in the fall of 2019. It is open for female students in 3rd through 5th grade. They meet on Wednesdays after school in the Learning Lab. For more information about joining or volunteering, please contact the sponsor, Crystal Delaney.
