Ida’s 4th Annual Read Across America Celebration

March 2nd

NEA's Read Across America Day is March 2

Read Across America is an annual reading program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2nd, the birthday of beloved children’s author, Dr. Seuss. This year, Ida Freeman will hold a fourth annual school-wide celebration with a day of Seuss-tastic activities. One of the most important activities happening that day will be guest readers in every classroom!

We need YOUR help to make this celebration Seuss-cessful!

We are looking for volunteers to come to school on Friday, March 2nd as guest readers. Come by the library and select some Dr. Seuss books to share with a class. If you can volunteer 30 minutes of time, then you can share the importance—and fun—of reading with our students!

Please sign up by Friday, Feb. 23rd if possible!
