Edmond Public Schools will host its annual public forum from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, in the Board of Education Room at the district’s Administrative Center -1001 W. Danforth.
The forum is an opportunity for members of the school board and central office and site administrators to listen to accolades, ideas or concerns from parents, students and community members.
“The feedback provided at this forum helps us make more informed decisions regarding the district’s direction and its programs and services,” said Superintendent Bret Towne.
There is no preregistration required. Patrons should sign up the night of the event and will be called to the podium in the order in which they are received. Each speaker is limited to five minutes.
Board members and administrators take notes during the forum but do not engage in dialogue and no votes are taken.
“This is an evening set aside to listen to our patrons,” said Towne.
Due to state and federal privacy laws, patrons may not discuss individual personnel issues, contract negotiations, due process or student disciplinary actions.
